California quail: breed description

Russian poultry farmers rarely breed California crested quails. They come from the USA. Under natural conditions, they are found on the west coast from Oregon to California. Locals call them partridges.

California crested quails successfully acclimatized in New Zealand, Colombia, Chile. But in Europe, California quail did not catch on. This is an amazingly decorative bird, look at the photo: crested partridge in the wild.

You should always remember that we have to answer for all those whom we have settled in our yard.
